摘要
Two battles defined the actions of the political project called Confederacion Argentina as State: Caseros (1852) y Pavon (1861). This project took place in the territories belonging to the Provincias (states) get together in the new government, separated from Buenos Aires, almost the entire period. As the reference to the metaphor of the State losing his head, a problem came up when the body of the new State (the 14 Provinces) lost their head (Buenos Aires), along with the Capital, the port, and the biggest power and commercial center of the newborn confederation. Politicians in charge of building the new capitalist country split the problem into two issues: trying to solve the "capital" problem on one side, and "the port, or portss", on the other. Different projects came up about the "ports", and three places stayed as competitors: the colonial city of Santa Fe, the village of Rosario, and Puerto Las Piedras at the South end of the Country. In relation to these places, territorial communication structures were built in connection to the remaining state ' s capitals and their hinterland.
