Information technology (IT) is making its way into more application sectors than ever before, and the use of computers is becoming increasingly decentralized. As this happens, however, users are increasingly demanding systems that are demonstrably secure. In the future, a guarantee of security will be of major importance for the competitiveness of information systems.
