摘要：
The research represents the ontological metaphors with which the mind as an abstract essence is conceptualised in the Medieval Bulagarians's mind. According to J. Lakoff and M. Johnson's classification they are divided into three subgroups. The first one includes the cases in which the mind is metaphorically explained as entity or substance. The second resumes the view of mind as a container and the third subgroup is composed by metaphors representing the mind as a human being. The specifics of the mind metaphorization are explained, too. For example - giving mind sex features or its androcentricity. The research ends with the conclusions which have been made for the specifics of the Medieval concept mind revealed in The Tihonravov Damaskin.
