摘要：
The aim of this study is to offer an updated, representative image of various uses of IT resources in online music education, offered in distance-learning programs. After an introduction to online learning programs, we discuss various aspects related to IT-supported music education, then we move on to a presentation of the main American universities and their online music education programs. Finally, we present statistics and approaches to IT-supported music education in Romania.
