摘要
In this paper are presented the results of a study carried out in four tropical ecosystems from Cozumel, Quintana Roo, Mexico (medium tropical forest, low tropical forest, mangrove and coastal dunes). A total of 554 species of edaphic microarthropods were determined. The studied groups include: Formicidae, Mites, Springtails, Simphylla and Pauropoda. A high medium tropical forest in San Gervasio present the highest species richnness of edaphic mites, in the coastal dunes was registred for the first time for Mexico the Phenopelopidae family (Acari: Oribatida). The family Opilioacaridae is present in Cozumel with two genera: Neocarus and Caribeacarus, while in the continental part of Mexico is present only Neocarus.
