摘要：

Policy makers in India have been concerned about the high rates of STDs and the spread of HIV and AIDS. A major perception was that HIV/AIDS is a 'foreign disease', ironically its prevalence rate is much higher in India as compared to other countries. This article discusses approaches to sexual health in select countries that do substantially better on sexual health. This review indicates that the lessons may help a country like India to do better in providing for the sexual health of its citizens.
