摘要
This paper describes a case study of a training programme for teachers in non-formal literacy education programmes for adults using ethnographic approaches. It first sets the conceptual framework on which the programme was developed, both the definition of non-formal education used in this programme, and also the nature of informal learning which creates the need for an ethnographic approach to training. Secondly, it outlines the development and the implementation of the training programme in three settings (India, Ethiopia and Uganda). Finally, it discusses its usefulness and the elements of transferability in it to other forms of NFE.
