ELECTRON-PARAMAGNETIC RESONANCE STUDIES OF CDPS3CO2+ SINGLE-CRYSTALS

摘要
The X-band electron paramagnetic resonance spectra of Co2+ ion in the monoclinic lattice (C-2h(3)) CdPS3 has been studied at low temperatures. All details of the spectra are satisfactorily described by a spin-Hamiltonian appropriate for Co2+ in a crystal field of trigonal symmetry. The observed angular variation of the hyperfine structure of the allowed transition is found to be in good agreement with the theory. The parameters of the spin-Hamiltonian have been determined. Analysis of the EPR spectra indicate that Co2+ ion enters the Cd2+ site in the lattice.
