摘要：
I estimate the expected gravitational redshift of galaxies in clusters, assuming a de Vaucouleurs profile. It is shown that the gravitational redshift can represent a nonnegligible effect in rich clusters, particularly affecting the analysis of cD peculiar motions, even if its detection is not possible with available data. The best evidence for the effect should be found selecting a subset of well-studied, rich and regular cD clusters.
