摘要
ComPutational aspects of the problem Of ultimate strength analysis of reinfOrced concrete sections under biaxial bending and longitudinal load are considered A modification of the secant-modulus method is presented that insures convergence of the iterations to the equilibrium equations solution for any mode of loading. For computation of the coefficients in the eqilibrium equations, a version of the fictitious-domain method is proposed, which allows essentially treatment Of rectangular and nonrectangular sections in the same way, and makes the presented approach easily Programmable and readily adaptable to different sections. An additional procedure is suggested for analysis of more difficult cases, when the strain in the extreme compressive fiber of the section is considered as a variable that is not specified in advance. Numerical examples are given.
