摘要：
The finite-element formulation of a conforming plate-bending element having the shape of a general quadrilateral is presented. The element has four nodes with six degrees of freedom per node. The accuracy and efficiency of the element is tested by considering several examples of plates in bending and comparing the results with those obtained using other elements or other methods of analysis.
