Eco-Friendly Lignocellulosic Natural Fibre Reinforced Recycled Polymer Composite with Modified Interface and Reactive Compatibilization: A Micromechanical Analysis with Various Model
The role of fibre/matrix interactions in chemically modified sisal fibre (SF) reinforced recycled polypropylene (RPP) composites are studied in the current research prepared through melt blending technique and compression moulding. A comparative study of mechanical properties has been conducted between the theoretical values with experimental results using various suitable models such as Parallel model, Series model, Hirsch's, and modified Bowyer and Bader's model. Flammability and burning behaviour of reinforced composites are studied as per ASTM D 635 standard. The interfacial adhesion parameter is interpreted with the help of Scanning Electron Micrographs (SEM), whereas chemical linkage is analyzed with Fourier Transformation Infrared spectroscopy (FTIR).
