摘要：

A detailed study of the documents of the "Cartulario de Alaon" allows considering that the history of the monastery of Santa Maria of Alaon during the Middle Ages was conducted by the important monastic reforms that took place in the county of Ribagorza and, therefore, in the whole kingdom of Aragon. The Romanesque architecture of this monastic church can be considered an expression of the introduction of the new artistic and religious reforms in this county.
