APPLICATION OF A HEAT CYCLE COMPUTER-PROGRAM TO AN ENERGY UTILITY

A heat cycle computer program has been acquired at a large energy utility for the production of a comprehensive process analysis, which will be applied to comparative calculations at newly planned power plants, as well as to the analysis and optimisation of existing plants. The article shows which requirements the energy utility can expect from such a computer program, and according to which criteria one program was chosen from those offered on the market. Furthermore, the arrangement and operational methods of the program used are described.
