Squeezed Light under Bragg Diffraction of Frequency-Modulated Laser Pulses in a Spatially Periodic Nonlinear Medium: Spectral and Temporal Description

摘要
The problem of obtaining pulsed squeezed light as a result of dynamic diffraction under Bragg resonance conditions is solved for the first time. Both temporal behavior and spectrum of fluctuations of pulses with induced phase (frequency) modulation propagating in a spatially periodic nonlinear medium are considered. A complex law of fluctuation redistribution along the pulse is obtained, which demonstrates oscillations depending on the control parameters of the problem. This law shows also the possibility of noise optimization and of obtaining squeezed states of light. Spectrum inhomogeneous squeezed states of pulsed light are found. The use of liquid crystals as a nonlinear medium in a proposed scheme provides an opportunity to observe experimentally quantum states of light in a field of relatively weak lasers with high coherence. In doing so, laser pulses with limiting parameters can be obtained.
