摘要
A theory for evaluating the deformations of non-homogeneous tubes is shown. This theory takes into account the additional stresses due to different Poisson's ratios of the materials. These additional stresses are usually neglected in the engineering theory of bending, but they may have a noticable influence on the tension- and bending stiffness and also on the coefficient of thermal expansion of the tube, especially if fibre-reinforced materials are used. Procedures, based on the engineering theory of bending and the classical lamination theory are also shown. Test results are in good correlation with the theory. © 1990 Springer-Verlag.
