REGULATION OF EARLY EMBRYOGENESIS IN HIGHER-PLANTS

This lecture describes the cellular and molecular aspects of the crucial events in higher plant embryogenesis, from the initial establishment of polar organization in the zygote to the final development of the multicellular embryo, with its tissue and organ initials. The discussion is focussed on the genes that are expressed differentially during embryogenesis and on the intercellular relationships in the course of embryo differentiation and morphogenesis.
