摘要
A boundary element formulation for generalized plane strain problems is presented using constant and quadratic elements. Generalized plane strain assumes that the strain epsilon-3, normal to the x1-x2 plane is constant. Generalized plane strain equations are obtained from the plane strain case (epsilon-33 = 0) by modifying the traction boundary conditions. An example problem is considered to demonstrate the accuracy of the proposed formulation.
