摘要：
Recently, high reliability and high power laser diodes have been strongly required as a light source for magneto-optical disk systems. In order to improve the reliability of high power lasers, we have optimized the active layer thickness, the cavity length and the reflectivity of facet mirrors. In addition, ((NH4)2Sx) treatment was performed in order to remove native oxide from the cleaved facets. We have also developed a very small laser diode with a high frequency modulator in order to reduce optical feedback noise.
