摘要：

At the beginning of the 20th century, some of the best playwrights such as Jacinto Benavente, Martinez Sierra, Jacinto Grau or Valle Inclan based their works on the old Italian theatre genre known as 'Commedia dell'arte'. This genre not only provided attractive themes and characters, but also the renewal that modern authors were seeking for, as well as the originality desired by Valle Inclan.
