The decay of the early childhood, with a prevalence of 1 to 12% in developed countries and 70% in developing countries, can be prevented if the mother takes preventive care from the stage of pregnancy and after birth. Providers of primary health care which in practice relate to women in gestation period and with children under the age of 5 years, have an important role by providing the necessary preventive advice on oral health.
