摘要
The syllabus that is being used by the School of Geography at the University of Los Andes is in force from about the middle of the 70's of the last twentieth Century. It has been revised and, as a result, changes have been added during more than 30 years, but a revision, including a study of its strengths and weaknesses had not been done to date. In this respect, a description and assessment of the current situation of the curriculum in force of this degree is put forward. The period selected for the survey covers 10 years (semestres A/1996 to A/2006, including both). The results of this survey point that the current revision of the syllabus of the Geography degree should not reject what has allowed graduates being successful, but it should consider what has been identified as its most important strengths and weaknesses.
