摘要
The thickness variation and flatness of hot rolled strips depend in many ways on the thermal profile of the roll barrels. It is known that during rolling in the finishing train the thermal profile of the work roll barrels changes according to the amount of rolled metal, its deformation conditions, and the cooling conditions of the rolls. An investigation has been made of the laws governing change in the thermal profile of the work rolls in the finishing train in the course of a rolling cycle. The effectiveness of interim cooling of the strip directly at entry into the deformation zone as a means of affecting the thermal profile of the work roll barrels has been studied.
