摘要
This paper describes the design of an integrated mobile satellite broadcast, paging, communications and navigation system under development by Radio Satellite Corporation. 1 Ku-band RadioSat(SM) ground stations broadcast digital audio signals and data packets (including alphanumeric pages and group calls) to mobiles through a satellite to be launched in 1993 by the American Mobile Satellite Corporation (AMSC). Each mobile radio simultaneously receives L-band digital audio and data broadcasts from the AMSC satellite and L-band navigation broadcasts from the Global Positioning System (GPS) through a common omnidirectional mobile antenna and receiver front end. RadioSat(SM) mobile radios use GPS broadcasts and differential corrections sent through the AMSC satellite by RSC to navigate with 2 meter accuracy. With optional transmitters, RadioSat(SM) mobile radios can support two-way voice and data communications.
