摘要
Agriculture in Martinique still occupies a specific place and role although the activity is declining. The weak contribution of export agriculture (traditional crops: banana and sugar cane) to development, raises concerns about diversification and food security and sketches the broad outlines of a new agricultural turn. Taking into consideration these challenges, livestock farming systems present substantial potentialities for further development. Nevertheless, the activity stays nowadays insufficiently organized, a fact that increases its vulnerability. Pointing out different levels and types of coordination failures in livestock farming (cow, sheep, goat), we initiate through experimental economics a cognitive process to improve the propensity of the agents to cooperate.
