摘要
The quality and reliability of connector contacts is of considerable economical importance in electronics. In order to investigate the corrosion resistance, samples of galvanically coated contact materials of the composition CuSn6/PdNi and CuSn6/PdNi/Au were subjected in corrosion chambers to different test atmospheres containing H2S, SO2, NO(x), Cl2 and H2O. For the inspection of the corrosion products scanning electron microscopy with EDS was used and for the analysis, including depth profiling, Auger electron spectroscopy, electron spectroscopy for chemical analysis and secondary ion mass spectroscopy. From the results it can be concluded that inhomogeneities of the PdNi-layers are rate-determining.
