MEASURING THE CONSISTENCY AND WORKABILITY OF SUPERPLASTICIZED CONCRETE

摘要
The advent of superplasticizers has made it possible to produced very flowable concrete at different water-cement ratios. This has made the standard slump cone test less effective in assessing the consistency of concrete. One simple method which allows for determination of the consistency and workability of such concrete is the K-slump test. Tests were performed, using the K-slump tester, to measure consistency and workability of superplasticized concrete with different water-cement ratios. Results obtained from his study showed that the K-slump tester is sensitive to consistency and workability measurements as affected by superplasticizer content.
