摘要
Studies on environmental problems, particularly erosive processes have been highlighted in recent decades in the Western Region of Rio Grande do Sul, because they generate significant economic impact in the field, causing loss of soil and fertility. This study aims to map the erosion processes in the municipality of Cacequi through geoprocessing tools, and its relationship with other environmental variables of the municipality. For the delimitation of erosion was used high resolution satellite images. The erosive processes were scanned manually with visual interpretation of the image processes considering the marks of furrows, ravines and gullies of the image. The other environmental variables were mapped and analyzed in GIS ArcGIS 10.1. Later the environmental variables were related to the erosive processes and noticed a greater relationship with morpholitogy units, showing a close relationship with aspects of relief and lithology. It is also observed that there is a connection with the anthropic action between processes in Cacequi and Land Use. Since soil erosion are indicators of environmental degradation, the study proved to be important for future geo-environmental studies and to mitigate the environmental problems of erosion found in Cacequi.
