摘要：

This article aims to demonstrate that the section "Baroque and Expressionism" in the "Erkenntniskritische Vorrede" includes more than a comparison between two artistic styles. When discussing "der Zusammenbruch des deutschen klassizistischen Kultur" Benjamin seems to intend, in fact, to make a sketch of the relations between art, politics and science in the the turbulent early years of the Weimar Republic.
