摘要
Complex coacervate capsule systems have been developed for concurrent immobilization and permeabilization of plant cell cultures. These systems take advantage of the ability of polycationic chitosans to form networks with polyanionic biopolymers such as alginates or carrageenans. The effects of chitosans on the permeabilization and viability of Daucus carota and Chenopodium rubrum cells indicate that water soluble chitosans are superior to acid soluble, ones. Also the role of metabolic precursors of desired compounds and the effects of elicitors on product biosynthesis are discussed. © 1990, Taylor & Francis Group, LLC. All rights reserved.
