CORRECTIONS TO SCALING FOR NEIGHBOR-AVOIDING WALKS

摘要
We have analyzed the newly obtained exact enumeration series of the end-to-end distance RN and the radius of gyration SN for N-step nearest-neighbor-avoiding walks on the fcc and triangular lattices. The estimates of the scaling exponent for RN and SN, which indicate S=R, are in good agreement with the corresponding values for self-avoiding walks (SAWs) in three and two dimensions. The respective estimates of the correction-to-scaling exponent 1 for RN and SN are 0.58 0.08 and 0.35 0.55 for the fcc lattice, while those for the triangular lattice are 0.6 0.8 and 1. These results of 1 are almost reconciled with those for SAWs by considering the variance in amplitude of the correction term. © 1990 The American Physical Society.
