Maritime Traffic and Sustainable Development in Transport Policy

Studying the traffic and its characteristics, which are more or less important for conduction of traffic policy, could be approached from different points of view. This paper is mainly concerned with questions related to the maritime traffic, as one of constituents of the traffic system, analyzed through the basic infrastructural subsystems. The results of many researches show that efficient functioning of the traffic system, and all its subsystems, in a unique whole, is a driving power of economic and social development of cities, regions, states, association of states and the world as a whole. It has great effects on technological and cultural development. But it is necessary to respect the requirements of the sustainable developments.
