摘要
An experimental investigation has been carried out to study the effect of some important parameters on nucleate pool boiling of three single components (distilled water, ethanol and cyclohexane) and a multicomponent system, kerosene at atmospheric pressure. The heat transfer surface was a horizontal stainless steel tube of 31.9 mm o.d. with an effective area of 1.59 x 10(-2) m(2). Heating of the test section was done by an electric heater placed inside the tube. The heat flux was varied in steps from 2.51 to 32.67 KW/m(2). The effect of heat flux on heat transfer coefficient has been discussed. The experimental data for all the test liquids was best correlated by a general correlation in terms of dimensionless groups.
