摘要
This article investigates the effect of the fluid flow induced by an infinite rotating disk on the freezing of the fluid and the effect of the freezing on the transient heat transfer from the fluid to the disk. The Von Karman similarity solution is used for the velocity of the fluid. The transient behavior of the temperature distribution in both solid and liquid phases and the freezing rate are determined.
