Here I try to clarify, from a philosophical point of view, the meaning of the internal and external beauty of women. In order to do that, I consider some alleged ugliness of both heterosexual men and heterosexual women, as well as the ugliness of violence, which especially emerges in relation to the contraposition between the Western culture and the Islamic culture. I hope this short digression can be useful to connect philosophy to the everyday life, in order to problematize the beauty of women in different ways, as it is may be considered by any layperson. From a methodological point of view, during the development of the paper, I do not hesitate to recur to other no philosophical fields. And I am confident that my attempt to face in this manner the theme of the beauty of women could have some good implications for didactical researches.
