摘要
In the framework of the WKB method, we investigate the conversion of electromagnetic radiation into gravitational radiation in the spacetime which describes an infinite straight superconducting cosmic string. Despite the very large electric currents which can be carried by the cosmic string, the conversion efficiency seems too small in the present context to hope for physical implications. © 1990.
