摘要
This paper employs the Nash bargaining framework to bilateral trade negotiations. Since country-specific goods are imperfect substitutes for each other, the amount of imperfection dictates a country's overall diversification or trade-options which, in turn, determine bargaining gains. Evidence for semi-industrialized countries tends to support this hypothesis. © 1991.
