POPULATION SIZE ESTIMATION FROM THE DATA OF MARKED AND CAPTURE-RECAPTURE METHODS

Marked and capture-recapture methods are the main alternative to the methods of absolute count for determination of the populations size within the limits of biotope. Principal advantage of these methods is the absence of dependence between the calculation error of population size and biotope area.
