摘要：
Brazil has experienced two periods of pluriparty politics (1945-1966 and 1979-present) both ensuing from and subsequent to the demise of authoritarian regimes. Based on the analysis and comparison of these two experiences, the article suggests institutional changes in the party and voting system aimed above all at perfecting Brazil's system of political representation by eliminating the flaws of the present system.
