CARE OF THE ELDERLY AND VIOLENCE AGAINST SENIORS

Aging is one of the most difficult periods in life. Today, aging is often presented as an economic and social burden and problems associated with it shall be considered primarily only in financial terms, and the terms of nursing. It is important to respect a man of advanced age, which is associated with loss of physical and mental powers and abilities. The care of the elderly should be given to ensure that there is no violence committed against them. Violence takes up an increasing space in our everyday lives. Violence against seniors is related to the modernization of society, the weakening of social control and social process of corrosion. Loss of control over the increasing violence in the society can result in the absence of one of the most important human needs which, according to Maslow, is the need for security and safety.
