Metaphor and argumentation in Spanish political language and the press: an approach to the metaphors related to the "peace process"

This article analyzes the argumentative potential the use of metaphors in media and political comThe different leveis in which the evalucontent of metaphor crystallizes are examined their articulation is illustrated by means of a of political and journalistic metaphors related the Spanish "peace process" (2006-2007). This based study yields interesting conclusions as the persuasive use of metaphors in different (news and argumentative texts) and the nature the fields of intersection between the metaphoric found in media and political communication.
