摘要
The article discusses the concept of poetry in the Cuban poet Jose Marti. Texts of several of his works are used, all those in which the writer deals with the theme. After a criticism of the poetry of Spain, considered by him as excessively rigid and formal, Marti defines his poetics and calls for a simple poetry, devoid of artificial vestments.
