摘要
The effect of Nb2O5 promoter on V2O5/TiO2 catalysts for selective catalytic reduction (SCR) of nitric oxide was examined. Catalyst characterization was carried out by means of BET surface area measurement, temperature-programmed desorption, infrared spectroscopy and X-ray diffraction. A modified NO-NH3 rectangular pulse (NARP) technique was introduced to measure the number of active sites on the catalyst surface. It was found that both the active sites and the acid sites increase with the content of Nb2O5 due to the increase in BET surface area. The activities of the SCR reaction and the ammonia oxidation are enhanced by the Nb2O5 promoter in the lower and higher temperature ranges, respectively.
