摘要
The interlaminar fracture (mode I) mechanisms of three graphite/thermoplastic composites were studied. The measured critical strain energy release rate, G(IC) of each material exceeds typical literature values for epoxy composites. Among thermoplastics, the critical role of fiber-matrix adhesion on G(IC) and the observed fracture mechanisms, and composite performance are discussed.
