According to the initial stress field of the Linxi River rock masses, and based on the multiveariate linear regression method, the initial stress field of rock mass is obtained; its loading is and carried out in the software of ABAQUS. Considering the batholithic joint, the interface element functional element program is developed based on ABAQUS-UEL. Nonlinear finite element analysis is used to simulate the excavation unloading. Variations of displacement and stress field in different stages as well as the deformation regularity of different parts of rock masses in different material parameters are discussed. The results of FEA show that the rock stability can be kept in the process of excavation.
