Logistics management is a growing service industry and this article describes the growth of a small company which has become one of the U.K.'s largest packing businesses, particularly for large items such as those used in the defence and aerospace areas. Three key policies in the company's development are its emphasis on quality, customer service and good employee relations, recognizing that human resources are the key to providing the customer with care and first-class service. © 1990.
