摘要
This paper attempts to review the basic concepts that define Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT), underlining those techniques included under this approach that are used in the treatment of Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD). It is an broad territory, due to this, only aspects considered central to the topic of this article have been highlighted. The first part focuses on the historical background on which the second, more practical, part of the article relies upon. In this second part, based on current research, some of the factors of possible relevance when selecting an appropriate CBT treatment for a specific obsessive compulsive patient are mentioned.
