IMPROVED DC AC INTERFACE INVERTER FOR HIGH-FREQUENCY SPACE APPLICATIONS

摘要
A concept of dual asymmetrical resonant bridges is presented for a dc/ac interface inverter for a high-frequency space power distribution system. As compared with the conventional approach, in which two symmetrical bridges are employed, the asymmetrical bridges arrangement offers better use of the installed kVA rating, and efficiency of the inverter system. A simplified approach to model the inverter system in steady-state is presented, and a criteria to select the resonant components is given. Finally, a detailed simulation is performed for the following: 1) a symmetrical inverter system with a resistive load; 2) an asymmetrical inverter system with a resistive load; and 3) an asymmetrical inverter system with the Type-1A ac/dc converter load.
