Competence in information is a set of skills and proficiency developed in a disciplined and consistent manner, able to prepare a person to become more independent in finding and using information. Considering a full cycle of actions, graduate students should first realize their limitations and needs, the context in which it operates, then start the search for information that meets their needs. It is in library science that search and information retrieval are worked in scientifically advanced methodologies. This paper describes the program, which aims to create a model of competence in information under the ethics of multivocality. The use of various types and informational supports for teaching, research and extension will subsidize the research, encouraging networking and cooperative action. The goal is to develop a model for application of information skills that can serve to stimulate the Scientific Initiation. In addition, to create a set of proprietary quantitative and qualitative data to assess the competence needed for learning and citizenship in technological environments indicators. The program will serve 02 years in 500 undergraduate students at UNB for a multidisciplinary training for the achievement of academic and scientific research. During the process of research and development of teaching programming, materials and tutorials with ongoing analysis of the effectiveness of the tools will be available. The workshops will be dynamic and the activities will be adapted considering the profile of the student and complemented with an ongoing evaluation of the actions and the dissemination of products and services. Students should be able to collaborative communication, integrating the skills developed in communication environment with multiple resources and multidimensional information. All materials produced will be exhibited during the science fair that will take place along with the Academic Week / Extension. It is intended to contribute to the improvement of the processes of inclusion of citizens in the information society, through the creation and implementation of a training model based on digital and information literacy.
