APPLICATION PRINCIPLES OF FRANCHISING CHAINS IN THE SLOVAK ECONOMY

The presented article binds on the article ''Starting points of application of the franchising in Slovakia'' published in the Economic Journal No 6/1993. All existing chains in the Slovak republic are founded on the basis of a foreign franchising licence. Enterprising subjects nevertheless show interest in creation of franchising chains of ''domestic'' origin. A relatively short action of franchising enterprises in Slovakia shows that there is a lack of a larger publicity to their practical experience and a considerable absence of theoretical professional information on the franchising. Principles of creation and functioning of franchising chains in this country come out of universal legal standards which direct the enterprise activity but they take into account also the rules included in the European franchising codex from the point of view of insertion into international franchising chains.
